New Year, New Inspiration: 20 Art Prompts for January

Get that spark!

January is the perfect time to get inspired and create new art. The start of a new year brings with it a sense of renewal and the opportunity to set new goals and intentions. Whether you’re in the middle of winter or summer, the change of season can also bring a renewed sense of inspiration and motivation. I have plenty of art prompts to help spark your creativity and get you started on new projects.

It’s important to remember that these art prompts are meant to be used as inspiration, not as a strict daily task. There’s no need to stress yourself out trying to complete an artwork a day or even completing all 20 prompts in one month. The goal is to use these prompts as a starting point, take the pressure off yourself, and have fun with the creative process. And if you feel like sharing your art with others, go for it, but if you want to keep it to yourself, that’s perfectly fine too.

  1. Summer here in NZ. Don’t have fireflies but it got me thinking we have ruru on warm nights instead. Might do something with that. Thanks for the ideas 🙂

  2. Haha yes true! Love ruru, we hear them in the bush by our house. Thanks for sharing!
